What We Do
Taking its name from an old nautical term for a social convening of whaling ships at sea, The Gam shapes culturally resonant activities that connect people, place, and story across industry sectors – hospitality, retail, corporations, and nonprofits – with the long view of a brand’s unique story in mind. We work to elevate a brand’s mission and vision through interdisciplinary, curatorial strategies and programs, helping strengthen dynamic, loyal audience engagement.

Why We Do It
Our goal is to expand the forum for cultural experience, allowing art, hospitality, and intellectual life to create lasting connections across industries, institutions, and communities. We believe that conversation and artistic intervention in non-traditional cultural settings like offices, hotels, restaurants, and vineyards helps  engender a more cultivated, generous, and civil public.

Programming: Dimensional Cultivation
Thoughtful programming can steward a brand’s clients and  grow new audiences, offering access to exclusive experiences, while signalling a brand’s position as a thought-leader and social cultivator. Our work focuses on signature, repeatable programs, built with a brand’s industry, audience, location, and growth goals in mind, such as:

Literary salons + bookclubs with globally recognized writers and publishers

Culinary histories talks connecting food + place with chefs, critics, and winemakers
Conversations with artists  at the intersection of art, politics, and culture
Curated exhibition programs scaled to intimate or public spaces
Publications to document each series of programs and events, serving as a marketing tool for client stewardship and cultivation
